Brooklyn’s Cake Smash

Happy first birthday Brooklynn!  I’ve been photographing this little one since she was in her mama’s belly.  I was actually supposed to document her birth too, but as you can see from the images above, she came earlier than what the doctors predicted.  She was a little preemie just like my Emmy.  And look how happy and healthy she is on her first birthday!  So of course we had to celebrate with some mermaid cake by the ocean.  The light that evening was SWOON WORTHY.  When I see light rays streaming through the clouds like this, it calls for what I like to call  a “Lion King Moment.”  C’mon…you know what I’m talking about.  That scene in the beginning of Lion King where Rafiki the baboon is presenting little Simba to his new kingdom.  Yep, we did that!  And little miss cake eater just went to town on her beautiful cake, which called for a little rinse off in the ocean.  We had to keep the pearls on, because what accessory goes better with a birthday suit?!

It was so great seeing you all again! I hope all of her birthday wishes come true <3
