When Rachel contacted me to shoot her special announcement, she discussed some ideas she had to break the happy news to her friends and family.  She had the idea of using a vintage stroller and asked if I had one. Ummm….nope!  But I promised her I’d look around.  You guys.  The photography gods were with me.  The very next day, someone in my photography group advertised that they were GIVING AWAY the exact stroller she had in mind.  Of course I snatched it up!  It was meant to be!  I’m pretty sure I came across as the best photographer ever the next day when I told Rachel that I had the stroller she had envisioned for her session. Now to put the stroller in action…

Have you ever tried to lift a vintage stroller?!  If not, you would be completely surprise by how heavy they are!  How did women used to stroll their babies around in these?  CRAZY!  But with some help from Greg, I was able to get it in and out of the car to use for our session.  Rachel dressed it up with some beautiful flowers and her own vintage blanket that she used when she was a baby herself!  I love when my clients bring items that are sentimental to them.  It just makes their images that much more special. Everything came together beautifully! We’re going to shoot Rachel’s maternity session a little further down the road but the plan is to recreate some of these poses to show how much her belly has grown,  Eeek!  I cannot wait.
