Growth.  It’s important.  Without growth there is no improvement.  To look back at the images from the very early days of my photography, they almost don’t even look like the same person shot them.  Ok, that was being nice.  They look nothing like my work today!  And I’m totally ok with that.  I love seeing my growth.  Lately I’ve been feeling like I want to take my family sessions to a new level.  I want them to make me FEEL something.  I want them to make YOU feel something too.

This session.  This session did it for me.  This is how I want my sessions to look and most of all:  FEEL.  I no longer want to photograph your connection with my camera.  I want eye contact with you less and less.  I want to photograph your connection with EACH OTHER.  I want to see you playing, smiling, laughing, dancing, and doing what makes you as a family happy!  Yes, yes I will still get you those “over the mantle” shots that you can send to grandma. But mostly I’m looking to photograph you enjoying your family through the small moments that make us smile.

Take a look at this session.  I am 100% in love with these moments.  Lots of cuddling, joking, jumping in the waves, splashing and 100% real happiness.  No cheesy smiles here!  This is what makes my heart happy and what I want to create for you!  So if you’re ready to hang your special moments and not cheesy smiles on the wall, let’s do it!
