Fun fact:  I have been photographing this sweet mama and her son since he was six months old!  This is one of the reasons why I love being a photographer.  I almost feel like a part of the family.  You know, like that crazy aunt that you only see at family reunions who’s always drinking wine and dancing the night away.  And she says things like “Look how much you’ve grown!” Yep, that’s me.  Except I’m usually wearing yoga pants and a ponytail and have a camera wrapped around my neck.  Anywho, I digress…

As I mentioned, I’ve been apart of this family for some time now.  And they’ve reached a couple of exciting milestones!  Not only did this mama just get engaged to the love of her life, she is also expecting another sweet babe!  Double the excitement!  So with this hour session, we did a little bit of everything.  I captured a mix of engagement images and family portraits mixed with a little bit of some tiny bump images.  I didn’t spend too much time on her little bump as we will do a full maternity session down the road.

As always, Honeymoon Island did not disappoint.  Due to construction, we were forced to shoot on the pet beach.  It’s actually cool there, and I love finding new spots with pretty light.  I will definitely be shooting at this spot in the future.

Jessica, thank you so much for including me in all of your new, exciting milestones in life.  I couldn’t be happier for you a Matthew to start this new chapter of your lives!  I’ll see you at the next family reunion!  I’ll be the one on the dance floor doing the electric slide 🙂
