Well my friend, I’m not sure you can tell by looking at these images but this session was full of obstacles.  What obstacles you ask?!  Well step into real life with me.

First in true Florida style, it threatened to rain.  And along with this rain came WIND.  Now if this beautiful family were local, I probably would’ve rescheduled our session.  But being that they were only in for a few days, we decided to go out anyway and make the best of it.  So – we made the best of it!  I will admit this – these images look starkly different from what it looked like in real life.  I had to summon the editing gods to make my beloved Anna Maria Island look as tropical as it does on most days.

Obstacle number two: big sis wanted nothing to do with the sand!  I can totally relate, sis!  Sometimes sand gets into all the wrong places.  Annoying!  So I decided to keep her happy and to have mom and dad cuddle her far above the sand.  When we exhausted all the cuddles and mom and dads arms needed a rest, we took a walk. We found some pretty beach flowers growing in the grass at the entrance to the beach.  And a bench!  Score!  Another way to keep sis out of the sand.  She absolutely loved the flowers which totally worked in our favor because it kept her distracted from her distaste of the dreaded sand.  We played a game together.  Throw the flowers in the ocean and watch them float in the waves.

All in all, we conquered these obstacles and won the gold.  Anna Maria truly never does disappoint, even with the rain, wind, and all of that yucky, annoying sand! (JK, I really do love the sugary sand there)
